Busy week leading up to a busier weekend

Westview is cleaning for the May 7th Open house home tour!
Meeting in front of KIPP STRIVE (1444 Lucile Ave) at 9 am. Bring your gloves and get ready to work! Dumpster on Muse and Lucile!
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Just one week before a day of very exciting events happening in Southwest Atlanta. In case you missed it, May 7 is going to be a huge day for the neighborhood! In Westview, we will be partnering with Adair Park to host our first ever “Open House” (http://thebeltlineteam.com/open-house-events.asp). Think of it as a Tour of Homes for houses for sale. This is an opportunity for potential home owner’s to take a look at some of the great homes in our neighborhood. Beginning on May 6, West End will be holding their annual West Fest (http://www.atlantawestfest.com/). This event includes an outdoor concert, market festival, and Tour of Homes.

See below for more information on the May 7 event, but that’s not why I’m writing now. Of course, just as your mother taught you, we should clean-up before we have visitors. So this Saturday, April 30, from 9 – 12 pm we will have a clean-up of a few streets in the neighborhood that will have homes open for viewing. We need neighbors ready to pick up light and heavy trash. We also need anyone with a pick-up truck who can drive around that day. We will meet in front of KIPP STRIVE located at 1444 Lucile Avenue at 9 am.

We will be targeting the Lucile corridor, Rogers Ave (1600 block), Altoona Place (400 block), Inman (400 block) and East Ontario (400 block).

Special Thanks to C.T. Martin’s office who has donated a dumpster for the day.

You can reach me directly at agabriel1908@yahoo.com if you have any questions or need more information. Otherwise, hope to see you Saturday!

Curb Appeal My House!

OK..why haven’t you entered my name into a curb appeal contest? You pass my house daily and shake your head; I find you guilty of not helping! LOL

The girls and I are making an “all hands on deck” push to get our yard in some shape for the May 7th home tours.  Feel free to stop by and give us a hand in pulling weeds…or drop us off a Hasta!  Our plan is to have a drought resistant, low maintenance garden.
But I just came up with an idea to add a Koi pond in the area currently taken over by ivy.  What do you think?

West Ends New Addition!

Daniel

One of our precious additions to the West End family! Daniel is amazing and growing daily- now 3wks old! I can’t wait until he and Noah have play dates.

My friend will strangle me if she finds out I posted a pic of her on my site-  **sheesh-no one tell!** But isn’t she lovely to have just endured major surgery?
