Westview Summer Solstice (June 25th) Update!

Did you know that there is a CVC Urban Farm right here in Southwest Atlanta?

Formed as part of NPU-T’s Community Food Project, the Atwood Community Gardens (http://www.nextstepsyep.org) has been located in the Beecher-Donnelly (http://www.beecherdonnelly.com/) neighborhood since 2008. With the support of many southwest Atlanta residents and friends, the urban farm has initiated an agricultural training program that uses gardening to introduce students to careers in STEM.

Learn more about Beecher-Donnelly and other southwest Atlanta neighborhoods that will compete in the Westview Summer Solstice grill off competition! Come out on June 25th and join us for a day of music, food, vendors, and more. http://www.westviewatlanta.com/

Westview Summer Solstice

Grill competition: $5 for a taste

How you can help:

 

Volunteer: We need persons to help run the grill competition, manage the free food grill, run kids games, set-up, and clean-up. If you are interested please contact me at agabriel1908@yahoo.com

Monetary Donations: Checks and cash accepted. Donate directly through paypal at:

Donations go towards the cost of food and other items.

 

Food Donations: hot dogs, chips, coolers and wash tubs (temporary, to fill up with ice)

Pass Out Fliers: We really need persons who can pass out fliers on the Ontarios, Matthewson, Wellington, Inman, Emerald, Derry, Westwood, Stokes, Westmeath, and Willard sometime this week.
