Yellow house; Nice surprise

Ok, besides the obvious cleaning- this house boasts a very nice big rocking chair front porch

Very open layout. From the front door you enter into the living room. The fireplace and built-in book shelves were painted. You can see the spacious eat in kitchen…

Coffer Ceilings – again painted… (someone obviously thought everything should be painted the same color throughout the house. But paints a small thing- you can always change that)

On the other side of the living room were French doors . Leading to a den- or possibly forth bedroom

Large open, renovated kitchen with island- and newer appliances (which is pretty rare to find appliances left in the foreclosed homes in Westview/West End)

The home is a 3bed/ 2bath, plus the den with the french doors, unless you make that a 4th bedroom. Spacious Master bedroom, and average sized 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. There is also a laundry area/room in the back of the house with a laundry sink and folding table. The bathrooms were average, in good condition- renovated with nice tile work, and the larger rain shower heads.

Overall, I was impressed.

I’m planning to video capture most of my tours. I will have a YouTube site but will post links from here. Uploading photo’s is time consuming and you sometimes can not get a good look at most of the layouts- and floor/room size.

… stay tuned!

Do not judge a house, by it’s exterior..

I learn this daily. Have you ever walked passed a house and thought:

“That house is way too small”

” If the outside look like that, I can imagine the inside- hideous”

“That house looks dated- I’m sure it’s old in the inside too”

I can not afford to renovate- we might as well not view the inside, I can tell it needs work”

My advice: DO NOT ELIMINATE A HOME UNTIL YOU HAVE THOROUGHLY VIEWED IT.

Take this home for example:

Scary right? Yellow. What were they thinking?

Stay tuned for my inside snap shots.
